How many of you like to find, frame and display quotes about art? I started seeking out famous and/or funny quotes as a means of decorating my studio space. You need only look on the internet to discover several web-sites containing hundreds of quotes by famous and not-so-famous artists. I honestly don’t recall the exact web-sites I found my favorites on, but I’ve got several options to get you started. You’ll notice duplicate quotes listed on many of these, but you shouldn’t lack in good selections to choose from. Here are some of the better ones to check out: brainyquote.com, goodreads.com, quotegarden.com, artpromotivate.com, and skinnyartist.com. And for those seeking humorous rather than inspirational quotes, I highly recommend short-jokes-quotes.com/art-jokes. Below are three of my favorites that grace a wall in my studio:
“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” —Scott Adams
“Art is never finished, only abandoned.” —Leonardo da Vinci
“Abstract art? A product of the untalented, sold by the unprincipled to the utterly bewildered.” —Al Capp
